What would be more awesome? A new version of Pow! Forward, Family Guy’s The Bird Is The Word or Cher Lloyd reaching Christmas Number 1? We can’t decide.

After a Facebook campaign last year saw Rage Against The Machine’s Killing In The Name reach Christmas Number 1, it appears a new campaign has started a couple of months early for Family Guy’s deliberately annoying The Bird Is The Word song to beat off competition from the eventual X-Factor winner [Simon Cowell might have to consider shifting X-Factor back a few months next year or his winners may never see a Christmas Number 1 again].

A sub-plot is developing in the Urban world though as Lethal Bizzle is promising a follow-up to his breakout smash Pow! (Forward) to compete for the seasonal top-spot.

Our readers won’t need reminding about Pow! (Forward) one of the absolute seminal records in Grime and UK Urban Music history [it's featured on This Is UK Grime Volume 1 which came out this week] but the song, which rose from the underground, saw Lethal unite some of the biggest names in the burgeoning scene and ended up busting through the UK Charts and landing at Number 11 in 2004. The song; which carried its fair share of controversy, having been banned in several clubs for the over-exhuberant reaction it garnered and banned from several radio stations for its gun and violence references, still lives on in Music folklore.
