We mentioned that we thought Kings of Leon were the biggest band in the world today, four stadium shows and one Hyde Park show seem to back that theory up.

Kings of Leon must hate the winter, they’re restricted to stupid Arena shows. Pah. With a series of Arena dates booked in for December, the band have already got their summer sorted out, while we’re all debating Ibiza, Ayia Napa or walking around England with our shirts off pretending we’re on holiday, they’re looking forward to stadium dates around the UK.

The boys who have just broken digital sales records with their new album Come Around Sundown will headline the Ricoh Arena in Coventry [May 30], the Stadium of Light in Sunderland [June 17], the Lancashire County Cricket Ground in Manchester [June 19], Hyde Park in London [June 22] and Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh [June 26].
