The Simpsons will allow Katy Perry to display cleavage in the wake of “Elmo’s terrible betrayal”.

The much loved characters of The Simpsons have been given the puppet treatment for an upcoming Christmas special and in the wake of Sesame Street’s decision to cut Katy Perry from a recent episode, for an apparently unacceptable outfit, the Springfield crew have invited her on and will allow her to display her “assets”.

Executive producer Al Jean explained “In the wake of Elmo’s terrible betrayal, the Simpsons puppets wish to announce they stand felt-shoulder-to-shoulder with Katy Perry”

Katy will reportedly play bartender Moe’s girlfriend and will lead the gang in a rousing rendition of the The 39 Days of Christmas.

Elmo has spoken out about the incident and insists there is no ill-will “Elmo loves Ms. Katy and we had a good time,” the lovable red…thing confirmed “So we’ll have another play date.”
