FASHION : Nike X Maharam Dunk Hi To Be Released 1 September

The trainer game isn’t particularly nice to girls, stores never ever seem to have the size they want or the range to pick from is just complete s***. Well now the ladies can lace up some fly sneaks for their feet as Nike and New York textiles designers Maharam have done a collaboration for the ever popular Nike Dunk Highs.

This Fall Nike Sportswear has teamed up with the leading New York textile design house Maharam for a collaboration that boasts understated style. Makers of some of the world’s most beautiful materials, Maharam worked closely with Nike this season to develop a new series of the ever-popular dunk silhouette, that translates textural depth with understated street style. The collaboration will mark the third time the two companies have partnered to create product that combines Maharam’s elevated material awareness with some of Nike Sportswear’s most esteemed icons. Made exclusively for women the collection is a combination of muted leathers with rich textile uppers. The stand out dunk however, is the subtle all birch textile upper design teamed with a classic gum sole, keeping this dunk earthy and clean with an undisputed feminine appeal.

The collection will be available from 1 September 2010 at all Nike Sportswear retailers.
