Once again pupils have achieved high GCSE grades with 69.1% getting grade C or above. RWD would love to know how you did today, if you got 10 A*s well done. If you failed everything don’t worry as we’ve got love for you too… (apologies for the cheesy pic)…

With the pass rate up for the 23^RD YEAR IN A ROW, we’re currently wondering if GCSE exams are getting easier or if entrants are getting smarter. Whatever the case may be, well done to 98.7% of you who passed theirs; especially the increase in pupils sitting English and Maths.

Dr Jim Sinclair, director of the JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications), told press this morning: “Students and their teachers can be proud of their achievements. The increased entries in biology, chemistry and physics, coupled with improved performance in English and mathematics, is very good news indeed.”

So, should your teachers and your parents be proud of you? Or will you be doing re-sits sometime soon? And remember, there is nothing wrong with re-sits, earlier today Boy Better Know’s Skepta said on his Twitter that you should never give up on learning. “Good luck to everybody waiting on their GCSE results,” He posted to his followers. “Remember if you don’t get the grades you want don’t give up on education.” BBC’s MistaJam backed that up with, “Good luck to all those collecting their GCSE results in a bit. If u dnt get the grades u want, there’s NO shame in retakes.”
