What happens when you get two of the world’s greatest beat ‘em ups and put ‘em in a room? (And before you ask, this is no joke).

This year’s Comic Con in San Diego has seen many surprises, but nothing more shocking – and pleasing – than Capom and Namco’s surprise collaboration fusing two of the video gaming world’s most loved series Street Fighter and Tekken to create Street Fighter X Tekken which has been announced for the Xbox 360.

Although both camps are keeping tight lipped, what we’ve seen from the footage so far is that this beat ‘em up beauty will be running on the SF IV graphics engine and shall include a tag-team based gameplay. It has also been announced that Namco will be doing a Tekken X Street Fighter game which we assume ( but never assume because it makes an ‘ASS-out-of-U-and-ME) will use the Tekken grahpics engine and gameplay style. While we are yet to see a proper preview you can feast your eyes on this lovely trailer and set of screen grabs.
