Last week Nardene Scott invited KG The Comedian and Nicholas Marston into the RWD Towers to find out more about the comedians who have given us way too much joke since bursting onto the scene via the internet earlier this year. We chat about their skits so far including the end of Shadrack and The Man Dem, Duncan and McCoy daggering Tim Westwood’s girl and what we can expect from them next.

The characters in the Shadrack and The Man Dem skits are pretty much imitations of two grime MC’s, have they approached you to say what they think? Do they like it?

Nicholas: They weren’t erm…they were basically just road youts mocking the whole road situation. Shadrack and The Man Dem were basically just mocking the whole hood element.

KG: You know the typical hood/street DVD’s.

Nicholas: Shouts out to all those Streets Incarcerated and those other hood DVD’s though, not like we’re dissing them but its just comedy.

KG: You know like how people act on there they’re just hype for no reason that’s what we’ve tried to portray in the first one and yeah we just went from there and the grime MC’s showed love for it still.

Nicholas: It did well and we’ve moved on from that now, we’re just happy with how that’s gone.

KG: We ended Shadrack and The Man Dem on Guns and Pork.

Oh man so it’s never going to come back…?

Nicholas: Yeah that’s final.

KG: It’s a wrap.

Nicholas: Shadrack and The Man Dem are in jail!

KG: Shadrack got 38 years and Abendigo got 28 years and Meshack got knocked over, I swear he’s dead or something (laughs).

On Duncan and McCoy – Moving from one side of the law to the other what made you decide to do that and is there another episode of Duncan and McCoy coming soon?

Nicholas: Diplomatically because Shadrack and The Mandem came to a close we decided that we’re artists and why not mock the law?

KG: And what we want to do is show range, if you look at all of our stuff you’ve got us acting like road guys, you’ve got us acting like old school type of police officers and now you’ve got Caramel so it’s showing that we can switch it up and I am not going to say any names but there’s people that can only do road stuff…

Nicholas: McCoy did Tick Tock Tim Westwood’s girl…nah daggered Tim Westwood’s girl on the front of his Range Rover backed up by Duncan he basically set up the situation because he actually knows Tim Westwood’s girl.

Can you tell us about the upcoming Caramel skit?

KG: That’s an exclusive you know…

Nicholas: We got a little car ticket scenario!

KG: Just watch out for the outfit that’s all I’m going to say. We’re going in…but that coat in the last video was hard to dance in man.
