Recently Eminem revealed the tracklist for his eagerly anticipated album Recovery. Lil Wayne is the only  rapper to feature on the album but two names surprised us (and probably the rest of the world for that matter) when it was announced that they’d appear on it as well, Rihanna and Pink. Today the Shady one explained why he picked them for his new album…

Back in the  day the only way for an artist like Pink or Rihanna to appear on an Eminem album is to be on his lyrical s*** list. Let’s be honest Marshall Bruce Mathers III has made a bit of a reputation for himself for ‘picking’ on pop stars, his victims ranged from Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera (he claimed she gave him ‘VD’), Michael Jackson, Madonna, N SYNC and Mariah Carey. But now it seems, since he’s gotten out of rehab, Em is turning a new page as he’s grabbed Pink and Rihanna for his upcoming album Recovery, the follow up to last year’s Grammy Award winning Relapse.

Speaking to Paris’ Skyrock FM the 8 Mile rapper said “When I did the song that I did with Pink I laid my parts first and kind of heard her on the record. I felt like she would smash this record, so I gave her a call and she was with it, so we did it.”

The Detroit MC also spoke about featuring Rihanna on the album saying “The other that I did with Rihanna is one of those tracks that I felt only she could pull it off.”

Whilst both singers are very pop orientated Pink and Rihanna have had their fair share of controversy, Pink went naked in the video for So What and RiRi… well she went naked for the internet.

Lil Wayne is the only rapper to feature Slim Shady’s new album. Both have collaborated with each other recently on Forever and Wayne’s Drop The World, for his Rock album Rebirth. Em bigged up Weezy F Baby  saying “I’ve always respected what Wayne does. Wayne to me is one of the greatest in the game right now.”
