Rapper teams with Simon Cowell and James Corden for England single…

Beating Tinie Tempah’s Frisky to the top spot, Dizzee scored his fifth No.1 today with the James Cordon World Cup collab, Shout.

Despite only being released on Wednesday, the pair stormed their way to victory with the track that was masterminded by Simon Cowell, Diz, his manager Nick Cage, James Corden and Talk Talk. Shout has sold 113,246 copies since Wednesday.

Shout was supposed to have been released tomorrow, but was rushed to stores after the pair performed on Britain’s Got Talent to a huge reaction from the public. Sampling the ’80s song of the same name by Tears For Fears, as well as Blackstreet’s classic, No Diggity, the chorus also features footie fans who rang Talk Talk to lend their voices to the single.

Both Dizzee and Corden are donating their royalties to the Great Ormand Street Hospital.

While the result for England against the US wasn’t so good yesterday (1-1 if you live under a rock), here’s hoping the song can inspire the boys to put in a better performance on the 18th against Algeria.

Huge congrats to Tinie and Labrinth on an otherwise strong result. With Diz at No.1 and Tinie at No.2, we’re just happy to see that the UK urban scene continues to go from strength to strength.

Check out the pair performing the song on BGT last week.
