It’s very hard to get banned from Youtube – home to some of the most outrageous videos ever, which includes a girl falling off a table  - but it seems M.I.A’s Born Free video has done just that…

The controversial artist’s new music video was pulled from the site due to the ‘disturbing’ content that it featured which included nudity, graphic violence and unfair abuse towards the ginger kind (they do have feelings you know). The nine minute video was pulled off Youtube within hours of being posted – which in a sense only makes M.I.A’s Born Free more (in)famous.

A spokes person for the video sharing website said “The rules prohibit content like pornography or gratuitous violence. If the content breaks our terms then we remove it and if a user repeatedly breaks the rules, then we disable their account”.

Whilst we will agree that M.I.A’s new video is somewhat ‘eyebrow raising’ (that’s a bit of an understatement really isn’t it?) we do feel it was a bit extreme. We can’t wait to see the ‘LEAVE M.I.A ALONE’ video blogs pop up.
