Set to a welcome soundtrack of original grime and hip hop, the flick tells the story of a day in the life of an inner city hustler, Flash (Dylan Duffus) who has 24 hours to payback to local gangster Angel (Yohance Watson). All whilst he deals with the hardly trivial setbacks of being robbed and shot at, as well as being harassed by nagging baby-mothers!
An entirely street cast film, the flick was shot on location in Birmingham, the majority of the cast have previously been involved in gang culture themselves adding a scary amount of authenticity to proceedings. Also involved is one of RWD’s tip’s for 2010 MC Lady Leshurr.
Extra features on the DVD release from Momentum Pictures [DVD RRP £15.99] include a Directors Commentary, Graffiti – a three minute segment looking at graffiti artists turning a wall into 1 DAY inspired artwork, Music Scenes and Handworth Calling (inside story making of the film).
