With his teeth in check and the courtroom free of any flames, Lil Wayne was finally sentenced yesterday after he admitted to possessing a loaded .40 caliber handgun that was found on his tour bus after a performance in New York in July of 2007.

Weezy has been given a year long sentence at the famous Riker’s Island prison, but could be out in as little as eight months.

Don’t expect to see any less of Wayne in the meantime though after the rapper shot no less than 10 videos in recent weeks with his Young Money team.

“Law is mind without reason. ……………..I’ll return,” Lil Wayne told fans on his Twitter page this morning.
