Girls Aloud fans sent into breakdown mode after Cheryl uses the group’s name in past tense…

After dodging dreary media attention about her weight and very public break up with former hubby Ashley Cole, Cheryl was out to promote her work as a solo artist, but while speaking about her work, she described Girls Aloud as ‘The girl group I was with for seven years’, making many girls from ages 7 to 17 snap their favourite diary writing pencil in half in fear that this may be the end.

Speaking on Danish TV, it was her first interview since everyone got caught up in her marital misfortune. She also performed on the countries version of The X Factor and told the viewers how good it felt to be able to reach to top of the music charts by her self.

Reflecting on her three number 1’s, she said

“The previous three tracks were with a girl group I was with for seven years – so to be No.1 solo was crazy, like the best feeling in the world”

Although the group spokesperson was quick to reject the rumours of the split, that hasn’t stopped the spread of panic.

So long as Cheryl doesn’t leave our screens, I think it’s safe to say that most of us here at RWD don’t mind what she does.

I think Cheryl is outstanding i saw her live in manchester when she was in girls alound and i thought they was amazing but now she sings solo i think she is even more outstanding. so you go girl and show everyone what you can do !!!! <3

come on now – GA’s stuff is punchy pop music for everyone, not just girly tweens and teens. I feel no way, I went 2 c them at wembley and it was a sick show. i turn 24 next week! hearing this news, i did snap my favourite diary writing pencil tho lol

I think Cheryl is a talented artist and she didnt show her true potential when she was with girls aloud. She will do much better as a solo star, U go girl!!!!!
