    There’s no getting away from it, despite the lack of sing-along hooks, obscure indigenous instrumentation and an ironically unnerving group name, Vampire Weekend have again delivered an album of unashamed, mood-lifting pop music. Lead singer Ezra Koenig floats around on a bed of synths, African drums and Caribbean calypso vibes that in theory shouldn’t capture your attention when played through headphones during rush-hour on the tube, but it does! Already a contender for album of the year – no hype(rbole).
