Latest scam claims some big scalps…

Thousands of Twitter users have seen their accounts hijacked after a viral phishing attack which sends out messages saying ‘this you??‘or ‘hey, i’ve been having better sex and longer with this here‘ and other sex-related ‘direct’ messages.

And just who fell victim to these scams? Well some good answers to that question would be Press Complaints Commission and the BBC correspondent Nick Higham, or say the Guardian’s head of audio Matt Wells! Starting on Thursday morning, the messages are ment to draw people into websites where there is software designed to steal your login details and password for twitter and other things so they can post these messages, spread and possibly get other important details.

So anyone who see’s their mates posting messages about ‘longer lasting sex’ or ‘is this you??’ messages, look at the link first, use your powers of deduction and try avoid being next! It might be good for a laugh, but Nick Higham won’t be laughing if his online bank account details get jacked.
