The Could This Be Real producer tells RWD about Saturday’s set…

If, like us, you’ve been hammering Could This Be Real – how sick is that Joker remix by the way? – but haven’t had the pleasure of seeing the man himself in the mix, you’ll be pleased to know there is a lot more in store than just quality singles and remixes.

One of the main attractions at Annie Mac Presents… tomorrow night at Camden’s prestigious KOKO, Nick Douwma aka Sub Focus is promising more than most. “It will be a real mixture man,” the D&B producer tells RWD of his impending set. “I’ve taken stock of the last few years and realised there’s all these house tunes out there that I want to play. But [on Saturday night] I want to try to mix it up, I usually play sort of 50% D&B but I try to do anything from house to dubstep stuff, you know?” And of the tracks he’ll be dropping? “There’s just so many good artists and so much choice. From guys like Skream, I’m loving Joker and Casper at the moment. I’m trying to do stuff in different directions, maybe some D&B stuff cos that’s what people know me for. A bit of dubstep speed, but with breakbeats.”

So it seems he’s well and truly focused for Saturday, but what unreal track will he drop to get KOKO going wild? “It has to be that new Tinie Tempah Pass Out,” he says. “I can’t wait to mix it up.”

Knowing Camden as we do, we’re sure come Saturday night someone in the vicinity will be unconscious.
