Lil Wayne has postponed his jail sentence at the last minute so that he can undergo dental surgery!! Why this issue is so important that it can’t wait a year is beyond us and if it really is that crucial then why didn’t the ‘lil rapper’ have his gnashers seen to before? Perhaps he just wants a really pretty smile to share with his inmates in the big slammer? We don’t know…

Sentencing was due to begin yesterday for a guilty plea to weapons charges, but his lawyer Stacey Richman informed the court that Weezy required surgery for a cracked tooth. After hearing the details, the court granted the rapper permission to fly to Miami for an operation on Friday. As he will allegedly require ten days to recover, Richman asked that sentencing be postponed until 25 February. Judge Charles H Solomon then gave Mr Carter another week’s grace by scheduling the proceedings for 2 March, to ensure that he is well.

This extra week comes at a price though as judge Solomon instructed Lil Wayne to leave as soon as possible. “I don’t want this to get pushed back anymore,” he said. “This is the last adjournment.

Somehow we find that a little hard to believe. Anyway it might not even seem like he ever left if the claim that he has shot ten videos in two days so it seems he’s gonna be on our screens for a while still.
