NEWS : Lil Wayne Records 10 Videos In Two Days

Written by RWD on 9 Feb 2010

With his year long jail sentence beginning today, Lil Wayne didn’t waste any time making the most of his last few days of freedom.

According to MTV, the A Milli rapper crammed his last weekend full of filming, with 10 separate music videos shot between Friday and Saturday, with a variety of location and green-screen back-drops. After all that, sounds like he could do with the break!

Recovering from his hard-core filming schedule, the 27 year old then spent Sunday night partying in Miami at a star-studded farewell party. Guests including the likes of Drake, Birdman, Nicki Minaj, Wale, Bow Wow and Sean Garrett turned up to see Mr Carter off in style.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Drake conveyed the sentiment of many of the Young Money family, “I don’t think there will be anybody like Lil Wayne ever again in hip-hop… a lot of us will have to work a lot harder to keep hip-hop as exciting as it’s been for the last two years.” Looks like someone needs to remind Drake that no-one died! As long as the father of four minds his p’s and q’s he could be back out making hits (and baby-mothers) in a mere eight months time. And when you consider that gun possession holds a maximum sentence of 15 years in New York, eight months ain’t looking quite so bad.

Lil shouldnt take it as a punishment. He should use it as a platform for self reflection; life renewal and develop his talent to new heights and inspire many young people. I love his music so much, but he should do away with guns. His gun is the MIC, not the AK47.
