With less than a week till his impending jail term starts, Lil Wayne is celebrating the count-down as a newly affirmed member of the Twitterati, with plans to become the “King of Twitter”.

Having somehow managed to prolong his imminent prison sentence due to dental surgery (his lawyer deserves a medal), Weezy first tweeted at 9.50pm last Sunday under the alias LilTunechi, “im super new to this twitter shit but wudup tho !……….follow me biot¢h……….wudup mak……happy bday LO……8 days of freedom..ym”.

Since then he’s followed up with six tweets, included the latest cryptic message posted this morning, “hello future,goodbye now,im on my way to the past…………………”. Umm… ok!?

Despite admitting to being out of touch with modern technology, “I don’t know what I’m doing…I was born in the ’80s. This sh*t wasn’t out then”, Lil Wayne even managed to master the magic of Twitter to post a Ustream video alongside Young Money artist Lil Twist. During the clip Wayne talked about his plans to hit Twitter hard over the coming week, “I need more followers. I’m trying to catch Ashton Kutcher. I heard he’s the Mr. Twitter.”

Later in the Ustream session, the rapper revealed lyrics from an unnamed track on his upcoming album, Tha Carter IV, “She a monster, but I’m a beast, though, Take her clothes off, with my teeth, though.” Genius!

With a staggering 120,000 followers in just two days, Lil Wayne’s Twitter game is definitely up there! Expect more from Mr TwitWeezy in the coming week.
