As we announced in our last issue, Devlin has finally put to paper and signed up with Island/Universal to release his forthcoming album Bud, Sweat & Beers…

“I’ve enjoyed the whole journey and I’ve been making progress,” Devlin told MTV this week. “I’ve been able to perform my music all over the country, can’t ask for much more than that.”

Indeed you cannot. So why did Devs decide to go with Island who also look after the likes of Tinchy Stryder, Bless Beats and Wiley?

“I ended up signing with them because a number of things,” the OT member explained. “Their track record is second to none and they know their business very well and have a history of making good decisions. They understand me and the music I make which was a very big thing for me and my management team.”

So once the ink had dried and the champagne had been poured, there was only one thing left to do right?

“Me and the boys went out and got absolutely hammered!”

Of course.
