If reports are to be believed, the plan to crack America may be over before it even started for N-Dubz.

Following the allegations that Dappy was hospitalised this weekend after an alleged assault at the hands of his baby mother, the artist famed for his “Na-Na-Ni” catch-phrase may struggle to make the bands upcoming appointment with Def Jam Records in New York.

Reportedly nursing a broken nose and bite marks, The Sun claims Dappy “fears his voice has been affected” and hopes his facial bruising will subside in time for the meeting with Def Jam honcho L.A. Reid that could see the MOBO award winning band propelled to international fame.

Never one to shy away from speaking out, Tulisa defend her cousin saying, “It takes a lot not to hit a girl back – I wouldn’t have been able to control myself.” Always the lady that one.

With Dappy finally getting his visa, the flight’s scheduled for this week, fingers crossed the bags of frozen peas do the trick. But let’s be honest, we all know it’ll take a lot more than this to stop the Camden trio from making it Stateside.
