Congratulations to our friends over at Crtl+Alt+Shift, True Tiger and SOME Night, and all who were involved in last night’s UK music fundraiser for the people of Haiti. We knew a good night was ahead from the flyer – which featured just about everyone who’s anyone from the scene – and the fact the queue was gargantuan.

Last night we were lucky enough to be part of a small, select audience who were able to witness Alicia Keys deliver a flawless performance at BBC’s legendary Maida Vale studios. An intimate audience made up of competition winners, 1Xtra DJs and us(!) stood mere metres away from the soul superstar as she sang, played the keys, and answered questions from Trevor Nelson and members of the crowd.
