Last week we reported that Eminem wants to be on the X Factor as a judge and the Prince of Grime has given Shady his full backing. Speaking to The Daily Star, Tinchy explained that without people like Marshall Mathers on the panel he would never get through boot camp. “Someone like me would never win X Factor,” he revealed.

“The judges aren’t up to mentoring us and wouldn’t have a clue what to do. There’s so much talent out there waiting to be found.”

“Shows like that are sometimes giving the wrong people a head start and it’s not fair.”

“Eminem would make a great judge. He should go on there.”

So will the 2010 X Factor feature Eminem or Tinchy Stryder on the panel alongside Louis Walsh, Dannii Minogue, Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell? Only time will tell.

In related news, Janet Jackson will be appearing on the semi-final of the show this coming weekend. The four remaining cotestants will be singing Michael Jackson hits, and Janet will be assessing how they faired with her late, great brother’s classic material.

Simon Cowell had hoped to get Michael himself before his untimely death.  Stacey Solomon, Joe McElderry, Danyl Johnson and Olly Murs will be picking their songs from Jackson’s back catalogue themselves.
