Every year the BBC make a shortlist of artists who they think are one’s to watch over the next 12 months in their BBC Sound of… list. In the past the likes of Adele, Little Boots (winner of the 2009 poll), 50 Cent and Keane have previously prevailed and this year The Sound of 2010 has a 15-strong shortlist.

To compile this list the BBC have asked 165 tastemakers (including RWD editor Hattie Collins and key contributor Chantelle Fiddy) to choice who will be big in 2010 and some familiar names have come up. That’s right, as always we’ve featured a few of the artists listed in the poll…
